Multinational Technology Manufacturer
A global technology manufacturer needed to understand how three distinct developer audiences — IoT engineers, data scientists, and application developers — actually experienced its ecosystem, and where that experience was falling short of what those developers needed to do their best work.
The engagement began with internal stakeholder interviews across business units to surface prior work, internal assumptions, and competing perspectives. External research followed, combining qualitative and quantitative methods to map the developer journey end to end — where it worked, where it broke down, and where the organization was investing in the wrong places.
The findings fed a cross-functional action planning workshop where stakeholder teams reviewed developer insights, stack-ranked solution concepts through structured voting, and grouped priorities into five strategic initiatives. For each initiative, the team defined scope and identified the specific changes needed across people, processes, technology, and data to deliver the intended developer experience.
The result was a shared, prioritized roadmap built from developer reality rather than internal assumption.
