Large Research University — Multiple Engagements
A major Pacific Northwest research university returned to Highdive across multiple engagements over several years — a span that covered web applications, mobile development, back office integration, and business process automation across different departments and user groups.
Each project started the same way: understanding what the actual users needed before making any technology decisions. That meant student-facing applications were designed around how students actually navigated university systems, not how administrators assumed they did. Internal tools were mapped against the real workflows of the staff who would use them daily, not the ideal workflows documented in a process guide.
The breadth of the work — across departments, audiences, and technical complexity — gave Highdive a longitudinal view of how a large research institution serves its community through its systems, and where the gaps between institutional intention and user reality tend to open up. That perspective informed each successive engagement and made the work faster, sharper, and more directly tied to outcomes that mattered to the university.
